My Music Video
Here are the diffeent music videos in which I have looked at for the diferent conventions that helped me use different ideas to start planning my music video.
I have looked at a variety of love and romance songs that all have different angles in the narrative. Such as cheating relationships, falling out and getting together (findign each other). This then allowed me to look at the different styles in which I can look at to compact all my ideas together to introduce my music video and how I can potray the idea of "Romance"
Here we can see within this song "High Hopes" by Kodaline that this is an idea about choosing him over who she was going to marry and decided he wasn't the one and chooses the one she loves. However this does include a dramatic ending where she dies out of revenge and he is injured but it tells a story and I want to create a story but this helps me look at different perspectives.
This is the original music video of "Yours" by Ella Henderson. This was where most of my inspirations and conventions came from. As I wanted to keep my video to a similar standard and narrative but of course with them being different to tell the story in a different way and the way that it should be to get the correct performance and narrative within the music video.
Looking at these other music videos that are within the "Romance" catergory that I was needing to look at to help me plan and support my different ideas to how they relate in with my overall music video. Here we have to idea of cheating relationships howevever there true love comes in between them and they show various forgiving relationships but it shows how love can have emotional effects and I wanted to show emotions within my songs but in a different way and storyline to what these show, but they give me ideas to carry on and understand what conventions are needing to be included within the music video and how I can support my reasoning behind them. But finding love is something I needed to portray them within my video as well as the narrative. However, overall looking at all these different music videos and looking at how they are presenting love in different ways gave me various ideas and allowing me to understand what route I am needing to go down to meet my target audiences expectations.
