When looking at my initial ideas I have been needing to focus on the diferent aspects, to create the perfect music video, these were from costumes, lighting, locations, links to the lyrics and props.

 

Ligthing: From looking at what ideas I am wanting to use for my initial ideas is when it comes to filming I would be wanting to use natural lightin, however the actual music video of "Yours" is all in black and white. However, maybe thinking about my ideas I could use a mix, so maybe for the studio scenes such as the piano I can use black and white and for the scenes outside of the studio I can use natural lighting, so it looks normal to go with the idea of these scenes.

 

Location: The ideas in which I have for my music video is for the studio scenes, I would be needing a paino, so maybe I can use the music department at my school to use this and use a blacked out room for the studio scene.

For the other scenes, my main idea would be to use a beach, as to me having a location like this to me is based around the idea of freedom and it is an open area, which links in with the idea of my song being about love and letting it out. As well as using the results I gained from my auidence research, and majority said a beach or city/town. However my idea is to reflect on my results and best suited for my song I belive would be the location of a beach.

 

Props: My artist doesn't really use much props, therefore I am planning on limiting these as well in my music video, I am focusing on using the piano for the studio scenes and maybe a sealed red envelope to match the theme of the song. This can match with the idea of wanting her to be his, she wants it, she is ready to feel loved. Having it sealed gives out the idea of her being his and the red gives out the idea of love as well.

 

Costume: For the costume, I would need to think about keeping it to somthing to her personality which is vintage, meaning I would need to think about having something old fashioned and I have thought about using a winter coat so that it matches in links in with the lyrics and would be suitable for the time of year I would be filming this (match with the weather). Or possibly I may go for a flower shirt/dress and Ella Henderson as the artists is also seen wearing this type of clothing. I need to think about how I am reflecting her as the artist through my actor I am using for my music video.

 

Link in with the Lyrics: For this I have planned on using a winter coat for the costume, which matches the lyrics "I wear your winter coat" also maybe a shot of the artist holding herself in her arms to match with "That holds me in the night" and the prop of the sealed envelope, tells me more about the sentence "I'm Yours" as with it being sealed it seems real, this then helps link in with the theme of the song.
