Background Information:
He was born October 12th 1972 in Busan, South Korea and he is an American film and music video director.
Kahn went to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He later dropped out of that after one year to be able to direct music videos.
His Music Video Career:
In 1999, Kahn started his own production company with Chris Lee, SuperMega Media, which is housed under HSI Productions. Kahn has worked with diverse artists such as Shakira, Aaliyah, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Taylor swift, Katy Perry and many more.
Kahn's usage of Japanese pop culture in music videos first began with Janet Jackson's "Doesn't Really Matter" video. The video was also the most expensive video Kahn has directed and is among the most expensive of all time, costing over $2.5 million.
However, lately in 2014 he was given The Icon Award by the UK music Video Awards, giving his success that he gained within the music video directing industry.
