Prop Analysis

George Ezra - "Blame it on Me"

When looking at the music video "Blame it on me" we see the use of a prop in which he has a guitar. Wen this happens we see him walking down a road with this prop that he is holding. However, as the song goes on further it becomes more clear that he is talking about a relationship. Therefore, by throwing away the guitar in which he does to the floor, which this happens further on within the song, is that it could outline that within his relationship he could of been careless and he threw it all away in which he used to have. We don't know clearly why or what happened but he must of done something that he shouldn't of done, which that made his relationship suffer. The use of the guitar as the prop then outline and helps picture what she is trying to get across throgh his song and the music video.

However, later on during the song when we hear the words "we headed west to find ourselves some truth" This could then be implying that heading west this way could lead him to freedowm, giving out this positive vibe the the audience.

To conclude this could then be showing and speaking about him wanting to fix his relationship in which he used to have and find out what happened with whoever he was with and get to the truth and this is what this song is based around. The song and the use of props for example in this case the guitar is helping to support the narrative being shown throughout this music video.
