Below is the different aspects of Star Image into what I have researched. I have decided to focus on my chosen artist for my Music video which is Ella Henderson.
Ella Henderson – 2012 X Factor Contestant (Early Years)
When looking at Ella Henderson, when she first appeared on The X Factor in 2012. We can see that see appealed as an ordinary person, who was wanting her talent to be heard. The star image into what she showed was the idea of floral clothing and the idea of her vintage fashion, and this is always want she wants to keep as herself, so that we as the audience would know that Ella Henderson is this person and this is the way in how we can relate to her character as.
Ella Henderson's Dress Image:
When looking at Ella Henderson’s clothing, we can see has gone from floral dresses to more adult dresses such as black dresses, jumpsuits. When looking at her song “Ghost” in her music video she seems to be more casual such as soft knits and jeans. Showing that she does have a touch of school Glamour. However Ella still makes herself want to look young. Her make up is always deep flicked eyeliner with neutral lips, a look that will never go out of fashion. The video (Glow) is kind of edgy, with Henderson sporting darker make-up, styling, and she looks a bit like Adele. (This could be her role model)

Ella Henderson's Product Image:
1The way in which she is trying to sell herself is this vibrant character, who is like any other ordinary person. She isn’t someone like in most pop genre songs who want to be more appealing, Whereas Ella Henderson sells her product image as this young female artist, who doesn’t want to come over as much, however still having the popularity for her music.
Props:
The props in which Ella Henderson uses within her music videos are more to do with her use of microphones and pianos, which using this type of props helps to use for her songs that can be slow or just to help add other elements into her music videos. In one of her music videos she used a car, which seems to be more of a vintage car, showing that she is using this to possibly represent something about the past, within her music.
Ella Henderson's audience:
When looking at Ella Henderson’s audience, to me it seems more that people would prefer her music over what her star image is like. Most young girls would want to appeal like most celebrities, however Ella to me seems like she wants to be more of a ordinary person, meaning that possibly her audience would prefer her music compared to her star image.
Statistics: As Henderson's music keeps reaching a wider audience, she enjoys soaking up each victory along the way. She told Digital Spy, “Literally, this year has been high after high, and after working on something for so long and so much time and effort - not just from myself but from everyone around me, my management, my family and my label - you know it's such a great way to almost keep celebrating through the year.”
How Successful do you think she will be further into the future?
In my opinion I think that Ella Henderson, could still be popular for the near future, this is because when looking at the way that she wants to appeal towards her target audience, we can see that wants to be this down to earth person and not this person that uses more appealing aspects for her product image.
Statistics: Driven by an increase in airplay, “Ghost” continues its upward surge to No. 41 this week on the Billboard Hot 100. The track already reached No. 1 in England, which eased the fears of the nervous singer.
To conclude with the idea of star image of my artist of Ella Henderson, we can see that she doesn’t want to be seen as this wide appealing image, she would be more known for the idea of being this artist that wants to retain her well known fashion to still contribute within the industry, and this makes her star image more about herself and who she is as her personality and character and still have the development in her career but wanting her as herself to stay the same and always retain who Ella Henderson is and that would always be her star image.
